hi!
My name is Romy Siebold and I love it to stand in front of the camera!
I´m a big-dreaming seventeen year old girl, who loves it to be filmed and photographed for wonderful campaigns. As sustainability is a highly important topic in my life I´d love to express this in modelling for eco-friendly and modern brands. Through that I want to stand up for giving all living creatures a life worth living and a beautiful home on this planet.
I also enjoy doing sports, like running, strength workouts, pilates and yoga. This active lifestyle is also combined with healthy and yummy food, which I love to cook myself to keep me fit and happy..

How did I get into online school?
From first grade on I never really liked school. I wanted to learn something, have always been curious, but I never enjoyed this way of being taught.
Still I went to a ´Gymnasium´ after my primary school, because I always wanted my diploma and study one day. Even if I don´t know yet, what I want to study.
This new school way further away. By bus it was taking me an hour to get there, so per day it was two hours: going there and coming back home. My free time in the afternoon suffered from it and was quite short, even if one day I started doing my homework on the bus.
After Corona spread in 2020 we learned from at home, just like all the other students.
So now I finally didn´t have to go on these long bus rides and I didn´t have to listen to the most boring and endless lessons. Instead I could manage the time on my own, I could take more time for these subjects that I needed to study harder and take less for those easy ones. Except of a few online-classes I was a free girl. In addition I finally had more time again to do what my heart told me to do.
But someday this time was over. The normal classes began again. The long bus rides started and the fact that we had to stay in school for afternoon-lessons from ninth grade on after which I still had to wait one more hour for my bus to come, didn´t make the situation a lot better.
For two years I was angry about school, complained about a lot, but couldn´t change a thing.
But then, in the Christmas.-holidays when I was in tenth grade, I heard from a friend that she started learning from at home through online-classes after tenth grade.
I was absolutely sure, that this was going to be my way as well. I was immediately filled with enthusiasm.
So I started to give everything in exams again. I only wanted to have best two grades in this years small diploma. I don´t exactly know why, I´ve always been a good student.
But this year I did it. I mostly had the second best grade and in my favourite subjects English and PE I had the best one.
Of course I was quite proud of myself that I could reach such a good diploma as in primary school for the last time, but the happiness of having more freedom and free time in the future was still stronger. After the holidays I would finally learn from at home again to have my final school diploma in two years time already!
My life since I´m online schooled
For three months, I´ve been learning from at home now. And I must say, it was the best decision I could have made! My daily life is a lot more relaxed and happier. I have way more time to do the things I love, but I´m still more motivated to learn new things and study thoroughly.
My day is usually divided into lessons, movement, learning, creativity, eating and sleeping to give a little overview. More detailed, I could say I wanted to keep my day structured. That´s why I always stand up at six o´clock, which also used to be the time when I still went to school. After that I have a nice breakfast. That´s something that has changed. When I had to leave the house at seven I never had time to prepare and eat something more difficult than a piece of bread or some oats. Now I eat vegan yoghurt bowls, pancakes, different cereals, porridge, baked oats, chia bread,... the list is even getting longer! All of those meals are not really hard to make and it also doesn´t take ages. But preparing them is only a little part: Since I can have my own plan of how I´m using the time, I´m finally able to really enjoy my foods. Eat them slowly, while using all my senses and not under pressure and in a hurry.
So after breakfast, I always get ready for the day and on some days I start off by doing a little workout. I for one think it feels a lot better, to work out in the morning. You still feel more energised and motivated and sports also give you even more power and happiness for the whole day. When I had to leave for school so early, I could never have any movement done before I had to sit still for hours. When I came home I did move but it never felt as great as it does now, even if I probably needed it more, these days, after not moving too many hours daily. I could write a whole new story about this sitting topic. For me it was really very hard. Especially with friends who didn´t even want to walk a few steps during the breaks. So I would always eat my sandwich standing beside the bench they were sitting at, and waiting for the break to be over so that the whole morning at school also ends soon. Now, I like these morning hours!
After the movement session I usually study for the first time that day. I start by doing some exercises, revising old things, getting to know a new topic or studying some vocabulary. And then at nine or ten o´clock I have my first set of classes. Even two hours of online lessons straight feel like half a lesson then. I´m now a lot more motivated to raise my hand and collaborate, which is probably one of the main reasons why the time passes more quickly.
And this time I used to spend sitting in the bus doing my homework there, so that I would´t have to waste my afternoons at home and could be living my true life instead, I now often spend cooking lunch alongside with my mum. It nearly feels like a really funny and productive hobby to me as I love trying new recipes.
In the afternoon it is very similar: I have my movement sessions by going for a walk and doing some yoga, my study session by revising a topic and doing some exercises, sometimes my learning session by having another class and there is still time left for my creativity!
If anybody had told me about all that only one year ago I wouldn´t have believed a single word. It didn´t even know that this online school exists and that makes me smile today. My life has really turned so much more positive and people who think that only marks can be motivation to study are absolutely wrong.
Take this as an advise to do what you´re sure is right, because it might be the best decision in your life.
I´m so so happy to be able to live this way today, this much happier, funnier and freer way.
How I became a vegan
My mum became a vegetarian when she was fourteen, my dad after the wedding of my parents. So it´s no wonder that I´m a vegetarian since I was born and that I´ve never eaten any meat or fish, if you make a difference between them.
But after some time ´vegetarian´ became more and more ´vegan´. We just had cheese, butter or milk very seldom, only when we visited our grandparents or went to a restaurant. At home we barely had any of these ´un-vegan´ foods.
I can still remember when we once went on vacation to Austria with our grandparents and my sister wouldn´t eat any scrambled eggs, cheese or fried eggs in the hotel there. These days I thought it was strange, because it was these very things that we didn´t have at home so they were something special for me.
But some day, when I was about thirteen to fourteen years old, I also wanted to be a vegan and all of my family did it from this time on very consequent.
We started buying vegan cheese next to the vegan sausage and tried many new recipes like tofu- scrambled eggs or cashew-parmesan. And we found out that it was very delicious. My sister and I started to stand in the kitchen alone cooking some new meals, especially during Corona when we were at home in 2020. We liked it a lot and we never missed cheese, butter or eggs.
So we decided to start a cooking and baking channel on Instagram in 2022.
The account changed until now and is called @rohas.habits now, but we still share the most delicious recipes there.
We are luckily still on this never ending journey to get to know new yummy foods and we still love it a lot to try new products and start integrating them into our meal plan.
How to decrease your screen time
In a society where nearly everyone is on their phones way to long, where it is normal that most of the people at the bus stop stare at it all the time waiting, where hardly anyone spends their evenings without watching TV, it is very important to break out!
Break out of this kind of addiction that has spread over so so many.
It might seem difficult when we think about all the messages we send and receive, about all the `perfect life` videos we scroll through for hours, about all the people we watch having their 5th vacation this year. But it is really worth it?
Start spending less time on your phone and by time it will get easier and easier. Have you ever heard of the advice `Do things that make you forget about your phone`? It is so true. Once you start, you´d never want to go back!
There are so many things out there on this wonderful planet that you can try, do, experience. Go for a walk in the nearest forest, see a so far unknown place in your region, go biking or swim in your favourite lake. You will find out that nature will make you happy and peaceful and that it´s actually a nice thing to be out there.
But you could also try new things right at home: paint a colourful picture that reminds you of what your hands are capable of doing except wiping, bake a tray of yummy cookies and enjoy them without scrolling meanwhile. Like, really enjoy them without distraction, but with all your senses. Start writing a gratitude diary or get creative through journaling.
But also productivity will keep you from scrolling too much. And I have to say: it´s actually way more satisfying to finish something and see results of your work than to get all those super tiny feelings of happiness while watching Instagram and feeling guilty afterwards. So do what is needed to be done: clean certain parts of your home, water your plants. Continue to work on this very project that you´ve procrastinated for such a long time. Most of the to dos are not that bad and for me at least working on them is often even quite funny.
Another thing to do instead of being on your phone is to learn something. There are too many facts out there to grasp in a single lifetime, but you should leastaways start. Learn a new language, read about a scientific topic that intersts you, understand more facts about this planet or get to know a new everyday skill. When going to school, learning and studying feels like a forced obligation to so many, but we have to understand that we do not learn for our teachers, our parents or for good grades. Instead we learn for ourselfs and our own future. It may be, that some of the topics, taught in lessons, are not the most important ones for real life, but still we can look at studying them as some kind of training. A practise for our brain and our ability to remember things. Don´t be afraid of your brain being filled with needless knowledge as the human brain has an estimated storage capacity of 1 to 2.5 petabyte, which corresponds to about 200000 high-quality movies. So form new synapses and learn something unknown a lifetime long!
You could start spending less time online by setting hours without any digital device. For example one hour after you stood up and three before you go to bed. Or you could say: No digital device while eating (even if your alone) and none after dinner anymore.
And I´m sure your friends won´t be angry, when you don´t answer all their messages immediately, instead they might go on their own journey off social media when you tell them why.
Maybe the ´perfect life´ videos will be angry, but you shouldn´t care to much about them while chasing your own perfect life!
Love to nature
I go on my forest walk daily!
And I can feel its effects every day all over again:
It makes me happy, puts a smile on my face. It makes me think positive about what is standing in front of me. It makes me feel awake and full of energy.
Walking in nature has so many positive aspects, not only for the mind but also for the body. And yes, I also go for a walk when I am in the city and I enjoy these walks nearly as much, I can feel my mind clearing as well, but still it is something different.
Being outside, being alone there or with the people I love feels just like a reset button sometimes. Only hearing the whispering sound of leaves in the wind, the melodies of different birds.Only feeling the soft breeze through the trees, the gentle warmth of sunlight on the face. It has such a positive effect on me and I think everyone else, who lets oneself in for it, can feel this as well.
It does of course not need to be the forest. There are so many more beautiful places on this wonderful planet. Mountains, lakes, the sea, cliffs, beaches,...
But surely you have already experienced that the less man-made changing this place has been through, the more present its positive effect on us is.
We have to look at ourselfs as what we are: we truly are part of all of this, living on this singular planet, using its resources, feeling its magic.
So let´s also see this planet with all of its fabulous places as what it is: our home, our base, our friend with all the magic it shows us if we only look close enough and let it become part of us.
